Church Re-Opening for Private Prayer

Reopening of Churches for Private Prayer from 18th May

Masses will continue for now to be conducted privately behind closed doors.
It is planned to re-open the parish churches beginning 18th May for private prayer.

The Bishops of the Munster province now believe it is time to reopen the churches in a responsible manner each day for private prayer.
The priests of the parishes have prepared the way and it is planned that churches will be open for private prayer daily from the 18th May.

The church will be closed to the general public during masses or if funerals are in progress.
St Mary’s Church Killenaule will be open for private prayer after 10am mass each morning until approx 6pm in the evening.

St Josephs Church Moyglass will be open at similar times as can be facilitated by the sacristans.

Fr Jimmy would like to welcome you back to pray for your many intentions and light candles or just sit in private contemplation in these beautiful quiet surroundings.

Staying together, praying together.

Please bring your own lighter to light candles. If you don’t have one or forget it, your candles can be left ready on the stand and will be lit later.
Sanitiser will be provided and there will be new signs indicating any requirements (according to the HSE guidelines)
Please be considerate of parish workers and church cleaners by disposing of any tissues or gloves carefully.
