Take extra care on the roads particularly these frosty mornings.
There were a number of accidents early today on the bad bend between Ballynonty and Lanespark where black ice caught out some resulting in road closure for a few hours.
Black ice was also reported around the county.

Sunny mornings can be deceptive when the ground is still frozen. As temperatures are expected to drop again towards the weekend, please take extra care.
Black ice is difficult to spot.

The RSA advises if you hit black ice, remain calm, avoid overreacting. The general rule is to do as little as possible and allow the car to pass over the ice. foot off the accelerator and the brake, Steer gently in the direction you want the car to go.
